Paris-based photographers Pierre Javelle and Akiko Ida have spent years building their Minimiam universe — meticulously staged scenes where tiny figures go about their work in a world scaled entirely from food. The results are photographed with extraordinary precision and printed here in the UK onto premium 300gsm board, so every detail — the velvety dust of a mochi ball, the shattered face of a chocolate block, the creamy interior of a broken ice cream truffle — comes through in full, gorgeous clarity.
This pack of five captures some of the most inventive scenes in the Minimiam confectionery collection. Tiny decorators in white overalls work their way across a landscape of Japanese strawberry mochi, painting each one red from ladders and paint trays. Miners in blue work gear excavate a towering block of white and milk chocolate, hauling slabs from the rubble at its base. A full construction site operates across a row of plain biscuits — crane, forklift, cement mixer and all — carefully lowering chocolate panels into position. In a world of chocolate truffles and ice cream bonbons, tiny figures navigate the terrain, one standing triumphantly atop a broken frozen treat to survey the creamy landscape below. And on a bright blue arctic sea of marshmallows, penguins and a polar bear have established an unlikely colony — each claiming their own sugary ice floe. Each card has a second Minimiam image printed on the back, offering a different perspective on the same delicious scene — often a close-up that rewards a second look.
Each of the five cards in this pack is printed on premium 300gsm board and measures 15cm square when folded, making it suitable for standard letter post. Each card has a gloss finish on the outside and is blank inside with a matt inner surface suitable for all pens. Each comes with a white laid quality envelope and is individually wrapped in a Nativia film bag, derived from plant starches.
